About Backtrack History
Everything has a history, and so history is the study of everything. From that smartphone in your pocket to the country you belong to, everything has a story to tell. And more often than not, those stories are deeply human stories, with real people making real choices. Our world's the product of those stories, and if we can't appreciate those experiences, we can't fully understand the world around us. In Backtrack History, we look back at a specific historic event that happened that week. We try to bring out the human, interesting dramatic element of history--the sweat and struggle and conflict that have sculpted the human experience.

My name's Stu and this is my wife Chelsea. I'm crazy-passionate about history. I'm not an expert by an means, just a huge fan and an avid reader. The podcast has given me an outlet for all the pent up thoughts and questions and research I do, which has spared Chelsea at least a little of my endless ranting.
Chelsea is an artist for Disney Imagineering and my main cheerleader. She helps in countless, tireless ways to keep this thing going. The cartoon of me in the masthead and cover art is her handiwork.
